Whether you like your sauce sweet or savory, several nearby eateries serve some of the best barbecue in Manassas. The menus feature everything from pulled pork to fall-off-the-bone ribs. When you’re ready to eat, the restaurants offering takeout near our Manassas apartments include:
The Bone BBQ
When Matt Hoover decided to share his family’s famous pulled pork nachos, The Bone BBQ was born. Two of his sons opened the first restaurant in Gainesville, Virginia, in 2011. It quickly became popular, and other locations soon followed. The pitmasters slow smoke the meat over hickory. Choices include pulled chicken, smoked turkey, and St. Louis-style ribs. Enjoy with a baked sweet potato, and order online for pickup or Grubhub delivery.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
Established in 1941, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened after Travis Dickey served in World War I. To pay for start-up costs, he rented space on the restaurant’s sign. His sons took over in 1967 and grew the business to what diners know today. The pitmasters only use responsibly raised quality meats. They have used the same techniques since the beginning and never use artificial colors or flavors. Menu offerings include ribs, pork burnt ends, and chopped beef brisket. Don’t forget the mac & cheese, and order online for pickup.
Odd Barbecue offers Korean-infused Virginia barbecue. Found inside Ono Brewing, it’s owned by former sous chefs with experience in fine dining. Nick and Susan work in a small 9-foot by 12-foot kitchen. They create from scratch and prepare the limited menu from the finest, freshest ingredients. Offerings include spare ribs, chopped pork, and pit beef grilled cheese sandwiches. Order online for pickup or delivery through DoorDash.
